Windows 10, CTD after first two titles

Hey all,

Hope you can help, as I REALLY want to play this game again. I've followed numerous guides to get B&W 1 to run on windows 10, including yours.

I can get it to work, and it loads up, but after the first two screens ( lion head icon and then the black and white icon ) the game crashes to the desktop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, hard to say. I can try to find the problem, but I need more information. We can start with a screenshot of your game directory.
Also, did you follow the instructions of our Guide without any other actions? Step by step?

thanks for the response. I actually managed to get it working! There is a fan patch for windows 10, 1.4, which solved the issue somehow!

This 1.40 "fan patch" is mostly just 1.20 crack with our BaW Patch 2 applied. It came out very soon after our Patch, without any credits to original creator, and after that I was banned on his forum so he could tell everyone that it is his work. It is stolen stuff and I would prefer that you would not use it.

There should be no problem this plagiarized patch can fix that BaW Patch 2 can not. Also, both our Patch and this "1.40" are not about launching the game. They just fix some problems, mostly about graphics on newer systems. So, your launching problem was probably just wrong installation order or wrong crack used (each version requires a different crack).

I would be grateful if you could try to solve this without using the stolen stuff. You can use BaW Restorer to go back to the clean version of the game.
